Budget 2010 - National Automative Policy (NAP)

Dah dengar budget 2010 ?
Rakyat didahulukan, pencapaian diutamakan ...1 Malaysia ...
Ubah lah gaya hidup!

I don't know, is it a good news or not. Goverment will imposed RM50 per year on each credit card and charge card. Can you imagine you have 4 credit cards ? It mean RM200 per year!!
Its a big amount ...so, let's start thinking either we need a credit card ? For me, I will start to terminate all my Visa and Mastercard. I will keep it if "BANK" offer it as free . Do you think our BANK will pay it to goverment ? If they got 100,000 card credit holders thats mean they need to pay RM5,000,000.00 !! WOW ...that alot ...and the best way is to ...let the card holder pay for it ...believe me . We need to think on credit card usage and only hold 1 credit card ...it is enough ..
This is a bad news to the "BANK", slowly they will lost their customers. And Malaysian ...one credit card is enough, please choose either Visa or Mastercard. Or no credit card at all!!!
Good luck .

PM: RM50 for credit card not a big deal

HUA HIN: Describing Budget 2010 as “painless”, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said the people should not complain about the Government’s decision to impose a RM50 annual service tax on principal credit and charge cards.

Instead, the Prime Minister said they should look at the overall benefits offered by the Govern-ment in the Budget.

“They are getting the RM1,000 tax relief and those paying tax at 27% will now pay 26%.

“So, they get two (relief measures) and only have to pay RM50 (per credit card). Don’t tell me they cannot pay RM50?” he said after a meeting at the 15th Asean Summit here yesterday.

Najib, who arrived here on Friday after tabling the Budget in Parliament, had earlier asked the media on the reaction back home to his maiden Budget.

Something I learn yesterday ...

There was a Video Conference meeting between IS here and IS over there . The BOSS shared with us his vision and mission. IT must take a lead from Business to provide better service. All new requirements must be shared and carefully study. Therefore, it can be implemented accros enterprise level, no more solution that fitted to one geographical or departmental.
The BOSS ask, What is your opinion on our "web collaboration portal" ?
Hmm, for me, there is no collaboration except the link and url for very specific purpose...ha ha ha
There is no "WOW" factor ....boring and you may lost in your own portal ....
There are several challenges that the BOSS highlighted yesterday ....
1. Year 2010 is year to reset IT infrastructure . Should we go for Microsoft ? or turn away to another software ? Should we continue our AV system which is lack and slow in produce AV update ..., should we continue using Office 2003 ? A lot of plan and evaluation need to be carried out ...sigh ..
2. Hardware obsolute ...also need to be replace ..by 2010
3. Move forward to Unified Communication, which we will take lead ...( Bangga nye ..)
4. No 6 sigma implemented ...it will slow down the process!! cayalah

He got 36 slides ..but only shared with us 9 slides only .... :)
Reason ??? His presentation is more toward Bussiness strategy and it mean for Top management and Board member ..

Then I realize, my previouse employer did some better jobs in planning and defining IT infrastructure ...but ...implementing it was on another story!!!
" We go for the best in market and looking for enterprise class level ..."
Here we go ..2010 ..do I need to travel as far as US and UK ?
